P-Series
The stainless steel pleated screen is supported by a center core of plated perforated steel, epoxy-bonded to a nylon connector and a cap of solid one-piece construction and a plated end cap.
Reliable, low-cost filtering of petroleum base hydraulic fluids, fire-resistant hydraulic fluids (phosphate esters and water glycols), lubricating oils, coolants, fuels and water.
Full-flow filters are standard or elements are supplied with a relief valve as an optional extra.
Simplified one-piece construction affords the lowest total cost protection and maximum return on filter investment cost. Installation is easy and the generous screen area provided results in a minimum of down time for cleaning and replacement. Meets J.I.C. standards.
Minimum pressure drop. The stainless steel pleat configuration provides the maximum effective capacity for the accumulation of contaminant in the optimum envelope size.
Nine convenient sizes from 5 gpm to 100 gpm and connector sizes from 1/2" to 3" NPT. Filters can be mounted singly or in manifold to effect wide range of flow and dirt holding capacity.
Reusable. Elements can be easily cleaned by swishing in a non-caustic solvent. Dirt lodged between the screen pleats can be removed by using a fiber brush. When compressed air is available, blow from I.D. to O.D. after the solvent wash.
Relief valve (an optional extra). Factory set to activate when the pressure differential across the filter reaches 3 psi. Recommended to prevent pump cavitation when cold starts are expected or if timely maintenance is not always possible.
Filter Mesh (100 Mesh is Standard)
For 200 mesh: Mesh opening is 0.0029 in. or 74 micrometer (microns) and open area is 33.6%
For 100 mesh: Mesh opening is 0.0055 in. or 140 micrometer (microns) and open area is 30.3%
For 60 mesh: Mesh opening is 0.0102 in. or 260 micrometer (microns) and open area is 37.5% |
